Festival FAQs

Where does the Lakes Festival take place?
The Northern Indiana Lakes Festival is located at Center Lake Park in Warsaw, Indiana. This park is located on the beach of Center Lake. This location allows us to have lake access and provides for lake-related activities such as kayaking. However, the park is large enough that other major events can take place on land, like workshops, animal shows, concerts, and even food and education vendors! Click here for directions to the festival.

How can I be a food or commercial vendor?
Check out our Food Vendor Pre-Application and our Commercial Vendor Application forms. You must be pre-approved to be considered as a food vendor for the festival, but we are always looking for new and exciting vendors to serve our attendees!

How can I be a sponsor?
We love our festival sponsors-- they make this fun and educational event possible! To be a sponsor, check out our Be a Business Sponsor Page. There are sponsorship levels for businesses of all sizes, and partnering with local businesses like yours to make our lakes and streams clean and beautiful is part of our mission.

How can I volunteer?
Our festival couldn't happen without you! Visit our Volunteer Page later this winter to volunteer at the festival. When volunteer sign-ups open closer to the festival, there will be a link on the page to sign up for specific tasks at the event from helping at our Art around the Lakes stations to assisting attendees into kayaks! Volunteering is a great way to get your high school volunteer hours, give back to the community, or just have some fun in the sun. Oh, and did we forget to mention? You'll get a free t-shirt too!

Where can I stay in Warsaw during the festival?
Booking your hotel now is a great idea, since the festival is an entire weekend this summer! Check out the Kosicusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau and Visitor Center website for a full list of Bed & Breakfasts, Country Inns, Hotels & Motels, RVs & Campgrounds, and Cabins & Cottages. Kosciusko County has it all!

What services are provided at the festival?
The festival provides First Aid and free sunscreen and hand sanitizer. The festival also provides daytime and overnight security. Bathroom facilities are located on the premises. Food vendors will also be present to sell goods. We want to take all measures to make sure our festival is fun and safe for all attendees!

Is it REALLY free? Like, are you going to charge me to do all of the fun activities?
It really is totally free! Admission, workshops, shows, and other entertainment are free to all attendees. Additionally, attendees have the opportunity to complete a scavenger hunt of sorts to get a free water bottle or giveaway item of their choice. There will also be free prizes and giveaways during the festival.

Please note that food items will not be free of charge.

Are pets allowed at the festival?
Pets are not permitted on the park grounds. While we LOVE our furry friends, we also want to make sure the park (and Center Lake) are kept clean and beautiful during the festival.
