Birding Basics Workshop

Come enjoy a guided hike along the Beyer Trail to learn about local and migratory wetland bird species!

After this event, you’ll know:

  • The size, shape and color patterns of native bird species
  • Differences between birds that look very similar
  • How to observe birds without making them fly away

The hike will be about 1.5 miles round-trip along paved trails. Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars, if they own a pair. Cameras are encouraged, as well.

Also at the event, participants will have the opportunity to win a birding-related prize. (Come prepared with questions!)
