The Buzz on Pollinator Habitats

The Lilly Center is partnering with Wild Ones South Bend to host an event featuring a presentation about pollinators. It’s common knowledge that pollinator populations are dwindling, but there are strategies that we can implement to reverse this trend. Learn how different insects outside of just butterflies and bees benefit our gardens.

Jan McGowan, an Interpretive Naturalist for the St. Joseph (IN) County Parks, is the speaker for this event. As Speakers Bureau Coordinator for Wild Ones South Bend, she derives great satisfaction in helping spread the word that we all have a role to play in restoring native flora when and where we can. We are our own best hope!

Meet us at the Lilly Center, Miller Science Complex Room 252 at 6:00 p.m. on September 11th to learn how a few changes to how we manage our land and gardens can help save our pollinators. We will offer refreshments including scones and coffee, and there will be a couple of small parting gifts.

This event is sponsored by Stormwater Utility and the Zimmer Biomet Foundation.
